The PhilHealth Regional Office IV-A (PRO IV-A), under the leadership of Acting Regional Vice President Edwin M. Oriña, MD, conducted its Media Pasasalamat on November 14, 2025 at Hotel Casiana, Tagaytay City, to recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of local journalists from Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon.

The gathering aimed to express gratitude to members of the media who have continuously supported PRO IV-A in disseminating vital information about the various health insurance benefits and services offered by PhilHealth. Through their consistent coverage and public service reporting, journalists have played a crucial role in expanding awareness and understanding among members across the region.

During the event, Dr. Oriña emphasized the importance of a strong partnership between PhilHealth and the media. He noted that accurate and timely information shared by media practitioners helps ensure that Filipinos—especially those in the grassroots—are well-informed about their rights, benefits, and access to quality healthcare through PhilHealth programs.

Media representatives from various print, broadcast, and online platforms were present, sharing insights and reaffirming their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote public welfare and accessible healthcare services. PRO IV-A officials also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen communication channels and enhance transparency in delivering health insurance services to the community.

The Media Pasasalamat underscored PhilHealth’s recognition that journalism is an essential pillar in promoting public health advocacy. By bridging information gaps and amplifying key updates, media partners enable PRO IV-A to fulfill its mandate of ensuring that every Filipino is equipped with the knowledge needed to maximize their PhilHealth benefits.

PhilHealth PRO IV-A expressed its continued appreciation for the unwavering support of media organizations in Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon—acknowledging them as vital allies in promoting health security and improving the well-being of Filipinos across Region IV-A.
