Bacoor CITY — Holiday spirit filled the air on December 9 as Mayor Strike B. Revilla, together with city officials and partner agencies, visited several shelters across Bacoor to distribute essential goods and spread Christmas cheer.
The City Government of Bacoor, through the City Information and Community Relations Department (CICRD) led by Ms. Kristine Evangelista, organized the initiative, which brought joy to residents of the Strike Halfway House in Brgy. Molino 2, the Girls Home in Brgy. Bayanan, the Shelter for Boys, and the Strike Home Care for the Elders in Ciudad Malasakit, Brgy. Dulong Bayan.
Mayor Revilla was joined by Councilors Simplicio Dominguez, Karen Sarino Evaristo, Levy Tela, and Noly Galvez; LNB Vice President Randy Francisco; JSInsp. Sally C. Buguis of the BJMP Female Dormitory; Brgy. Molino 2 Chairman Mike Saquitan; and Brgy. Bayanan Chairman Alfie Gawaran. Personnel from CICRD, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) also took part in the activity.
A total of 80 grocery bags were distributed across the four facilities. Each pack contained canned goods, biscuits, noodles, rice, milk, diapers, and clothing—supplies aimed at easing the daily needs of shelter residents during the holiday season.
The donations were made possible through the successful STRIKE TV Concert Project, Serbisyo at Musika: One Beat for a Cause. The fundraising concert has become an important source of support for CICRD-managed shelters, demonstrating how music, community solidarity, and public service can work together to uplift the city’s most vulnerable residents. /PR
