General Trias City, Cavite — November 14, 2025 — Nearly 400 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), together with City and Municipal Links from various local government units across Cavite, gathered at the General Trias Sports Park in Santiago, General Trias City for the 2025 4Ps Family Day Celebration. This year’s theme, “Pamilya’y Matibay, sa 4Ps ay Tagumpay,” underscored the importance of strong, resilient families and the dedication of frontline workers in ensuring the program’s continued success.

Organized by the Provincial Government of Cavite through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), in partnership with the DSWD IV-CALABARZON Cavite Provincial Operations Office, the event brought families together for a meaningful day of learning, empowerment, and camaraderie.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Ms. Ekeiko Paola Haidah Sadang, Promotive Division Head of OPSWDO, who emphasized family solidarity and the unwavering support of the provincial government for the 4Ps community. Members of the 4Ps Council likewise shared motivational messages to inspire beneficiaries and reaffirm their commitment to the program’s goals.

A series of inspirational talks on strengthening family values became one of the day’s highlights. Pastor Edsel Alcantara, Provincial Coordinator of Pearl of the Orient, reflected on the importance of taking the first step toward one’s dreams, reminding families that “every journey begins with a single step.” Pastor Conrado Perez, Regional Coordinator of Pearl of the Orient, followed with a message focused on goal-setting, self-worth, and hope, assuring participants that they are valued and capable of overcoming challenges.

Adding a personal touch to the celebration, Ms. Analyn Peñaflorida, Regional Winner of Huwarang Pamilya, shared her inspiring story of perseverance, discipline, and faith—an embodiment of what it means to be a model Filipino family.

Further showing support, Mayor Luis “Jon-jon” A. Ferrer IV graced the occasion and delivered a message encouraging 4Ps beneficiaries to continue striving for progress, highlighting the City Government of General Trias’s continued commitment to family empowerment.

Festivities continued with the much-anticipated Family Games, showcasing the teamwork and sportsmanship of Caviteño families. The team from General Mariano Alvarez emerged as the overall champion, followed by Amadeo in first place and Silang in second place. Children also received gifts from OPSWDO, adding joy and excitement to the celebration.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and prizes to participants and partners in recognition of their support and active involvement. In her closing message, Ms. Roselyn Daradal, 4Ps Coordinator of OPSWDO, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, agencies, and LGUs who contributed to the success of the celebration. She reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to uplifting the welfare and well-being of all 4Ps families across Cavite.
