30 Cavite Farmers Complete Training on Vegetable Production and Marketing

Tanza, Cavite — Thirty farmers successfully completed the “Farmer Training on Vegetable Production, Postharvest Handling Technologies, and Marketing” held at Profeta’s Integrated Farm in Tanza, Cavite, aimed at enhancing their knowledge and skills for more sustainable and productive vegetable farming.
The training, conducted under the Farmer Field School (FFS) program, highlighted modern techniques and practical approaches to boost vegetable yield, improve postharvest handling, and strengthen market linkages. Mr. Jhoslee Ganan and Mr. Jerome Profeta, FFS facilitators, shared the positive outcomes experienced by participants throughout the course.
In support of the graduates, the event was attended by Mr. Alvin Cayetano, Municipal Nutrition Officer of Tanza; Mr. Domingo Austria, Municipal Agriculturist of Tanza; and Mr. Felix Joselito Noceda, OIC-Chief of the Field Operations Department of DA CALABARZON.
Closing the program, Dr. Rolando Maningas, Center Director of DA-ATI CALABARZON, congratulated the farmer-graduates and emphasized the importance of sharing their newly acquired knowledge with fellow farmers to further strengthen and expand the region’s vegetable industry. /PR
