Cavite, Korea Partner in ICT Equipment Distribution for Public Schools

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — The Provincial Government of Cavite strengthened its push for digital education through the distribution of ICT equipment on April 21 at the New Provincial Government Center.

The initiative was led by the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office under Officer-in-Charge Annie Tacazon, in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea and the Jeonbuk State Office of Education, which donated the equipment to selected public schools in Cavite.

Six schools were identified as recipients: Amadeo Elementary School, Amaya Elementary School, Bagong Buhay Elementary School, Lumil Integrated High School, Rosario Elementary School, and San Gabriel III Elementary School. The donated ICT tools aim to enhance teaching methods and improve the overall quality of education for both primary and secondary learners.

In addition, teachers and support staff who underwent training in Korea in 2025 were awarded laptops to further support their professional development and application of digital learning techniques.

Present during the turnover ceremony were Governor Francisco Gabriel D. Remulla, Jygs Gandia, Gilbert Gandia, and Ferdinand Belamide, who reaffirmed their support for initiatives that promote digital literacy and global competitiveness among students.

Officials said the long-standing Cavite–Korea partnership, spanning more than two decades, continues to play a vital role in equipping educators and advancing technology-driven learning across the province.
