300 Imuseños Join Launch of Waste Diversion Programs

IMUS, Cavite — Around 300 residents participated in the official launch of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Reward) Program and the 3Cs (Cook, Collect, and Contribute) Sana Oil Program on May 25 at the Function Hall of the New Imus City Government Center.

The activity, spearheaded by the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources Officer (OCENRO), also included a briefing on the proposed Executive Order for the implementation of waste segregation and diversion projects in the city.

During the program, Bioten Energy Inc. Chairman and Founder Klan Alison and OCENRO Information, Education, and Communication Unit representative Nerea C. Defensor discussed the importance of the 3Rs and 3Cs initiatives in promoting responsible waste management and reducing the volume of waste sent to disposal facilities.

Mayor Alex “AA” L. Advincula attended the event and expressed his support for the programs, emphasizing the importance of community participation in environmental protection and sustainable waste management efforts.

The launch marks another step in the City Government of Imus’ commitment to strengthening waste segregation and diversion initiatives, encouraging residents to take an active role in protecting the environment while helping build a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable city for future generations.
