Cavite Holds 2nd Provincial PESO Congress in Tagaytay

TAGAYTAY CITY — June 18, 2025 — In a strong show of commitment to workforce development and inclusive employment, the Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM), successfully held the 2nd Provincial PESO Congress at Hotel Casiana and Events Center in Tagaytay City.
The congress gathered 27 PESO Managers and staff from various local government units across Cavite, alongside Job Placement Officers from De La Salle University–Dasmariñas, EARIST Cavite Campus, and the National College of Science and Technology (NCST).
Cavite Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino graced the event, delivering an inspiring keynote address that highlighted the provincial government’s continued dedication to enhancing employment opportunities and fostering economic resilience through public-private collaboration.
A key highlight of the congress was a presentation by Assistant Secretary Patrick P. Patriwirawan, OIC-Assistant Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Bureau of Local Employment, who introduced the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Plan 2025–2034. The long-term strategy aims to strengthen the country’s labor market through targeted, sustainable, and inclusive employment initiatives.
Supporting this vision, Ms. Anne Marie Faye M. Gloria, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE-Cavite, emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration and innovative employment strategies to meet the evolving demands of the job market.
DOLE-Cavite Provincial Director Marivic B. Martinez and DOLE Region IV-A Regional Director Atty. Erwin N. Aquino also reaffirmed their strong support for expanding employment facilitation services and strengthening the ties between government institutions and local communities.
The successful event marks another milestone in Cavite’s proactive efforts to ensure employment remains a pillar of its socioeconomic development, as it continues to empower jobseekers and uplift local economies throughout the province. /PR
