“Comprehensive Social Benefit Program Provides Vital Support to Families of Fallen PNP and AFP Members in Cavite”

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Cavite, together with the Cavite Provincial Peace and Order Council (CPPOC) spearheaded the Ceremonial Conferment of Comprehensive Social Benefit Program (CSBP) package of assistance to the beneficiaries of the members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) who were killed in action or killed in police operations. The ceremony was conducted on August 22, 2024 at the Auditorium of the Cavite Collaboration Center for Public Health, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital Compound, Trece Martires City.
Seven (7) PNP beneficiaries received scholarship grant from the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) amounting to PhP 10,000.00 for kindergarten, PhP 15,000 for Elementary Education, PhP 20,000.00 for secondary education; and PhP 30,000.00 every semester for college education. Three among them also received a housing unit from the National Housing Authority (NHA). On the other hand, five (5) beneficiaries of the members of the AFP received scholarship grant from the AFP Educational Benefit System Office.
The activity was graced by Gov. Juanito Victor C. Remulla, CPPOC Chairperson; Engr. Danilo A. Nobleza, DILG Provincial Director; LGOO VI Gilberto L. Tumamac, OIC-Chief, Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division, DILG Regional Office; PLTCOL Jack Angog, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations, Cavite Police Provincial Office; LTCOL Rolando Acido, representative of the 202nd Infantry Brigade; and Mr. Albert B. Agarin, Estate Supervisor B, NHA Cavite District Office.
The CSBP is a program of the DILG that aims to provide assistance to families of uniformed personnel killed or wounded while performing their duties. This is in compliance with Executive Order No. 110 issued by former President Rodrigo Duterte in 2020. It provides for different types of benefits and assistance such financial, scholarship, social welfare, health and employment. /CPOP
