Cavite Honors Outstanding Achievers in Tourism Sector

IMUS CITY, Cavite — The Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer (OPTO) led by Ms. Elinia Imelda Rozelle Sangalang, recognized exemplary contributors to the province’s tourism growth during the Cavite Tourism Excellence Awards held on September 30 at the New Provincial Government Center.


The annual ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of local government units (LGUs), tourism enterprises, and destinations that have strengthened Cavite’s position as one of the country’s most dynamic and fast-rising tourism hubs.


Provincial Administrator Engr. Gilbert V. Gandia, speaking on behalf of Governor Francisco Gabriel D. Remulla, opened the event by commending tourism stakeholders for their role in driving economic progress and preserving cultural heritage. He was followed by 5th District Board Member Ivee Jayne A. Reyes, Chair of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Public Information, who highlighted the importance of strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in sustaining Cavite’s tourism momentum.


The City of Dasmariñas and the Municipality of Alfonso were named Most Compliant LGUs, reflecting their commitment to maintaining high tourism standards.

Major attractions such as the Museo ni Emilio Aguinaldo in Kawit, Torres Farm and Resort in Naic, Acienda Designer Outlet Mall in Silang, and Coco Valley Richnez Waterpark in Dasmariñas were honored for having the Highest Same-Day Visitor Arrivals.


For Highest Overnight Tourist Arrivals, the awardees included Villa Excellance Beach and Wavepool Resort, Naic Apartelle, Microtel, and The Bayleaf Cavite—a testament to their appeal as premier leisure destinations.


The Municipalities of Kawit, Naic, and Silang, along with the City of General Trias, also received recognition for achieving the Highest Overall Tourist Arrivals, underscoring their success in consistently attracting both local and foreign visitors.


Among the special citations, Skyranch Tagaytay was recognized for the Highest Same-Day Visitor Arrivals, while Hotel Kimberly topped the list for Highest Overnight Tourist Arrivals. The City of Tagaytay received the coveted Destination of the Year award, reaffirming its status as the province’s leading tourism destination.


The ceremony also spotlighted innovation and social responsibility through the Excellence Awards.


The City of General Trias was cited for Best Practices in Sustainable Tourism Management.


Anya Resort Tagaytay earned the award for Green Initiative and Innovation.


Reciclar de Carmona was recognized for Social Responsibility and Community Initiatives.


In his message, Mr. Mike Arriet, General Manager of Anya Resort Tagaytay, expressed gratitude for the honor and emphasized the shared responsibility of government and industry in building a tourism sector that is both economically vibrant and environmentally conscious.


Ms. Elinia Imelda Rozelle Sangalang closed the evening by congratulating the awardees and reaffirming the Provincial Government’s steadfast commitment to advancing Cavite’s tourism industry through partnership, innovation, and sustainable development. /PR
